Misfire after changing coil

Changed all plugs about 6k miles ago with motorcraft plugs. At the same time changed coil 6 and 1. Only 6 was misfiring but i got 2 motorcraft coils for the price of 1. Recently got a cylinder 1 and random misfire code so i replaced cylinder 1 with a bwd from advanced auto since it comes with a lifetime warranty. I cleared the cel and drove around for a bit. The cel flashed most of the time then it eventually stayed on with the same cylinder 1 and random misfire. Any ideas? Injector maybe?

Change all the coils and all the plugs. RFI from another bad coil maybe tricking the PCM. Yes, you could have an injector problem. Those are rare. Coil problems are common. (Any yes, I saw that you recently changed all the plugs, but 6K miles is more than enough for bad coils to have damaged them.)

Or just pay the $200 or so for a full set of Visteons and know you're getting a quality product that has been used by plenty of members here.

Visteons are hard to come by, shipping to Canada ... even harder, actually near impossible.

Changed all 8 of mine out plus NGK plugs and runs like a rapped gorilla now. Lots of WOT pulling power.
No more miss in #2. Looks like someone was in there before, three different types of coils found
and coil cover broken on driver side bottom far corner. (someone got frusterated and broke it out)


Old plugs came out clean but gap wider then new obviously.

Very happy with the Motorcrafts DG529, hope they last a while to come.

Oh and new Mass Airflow sensor and housing, car wash and full tank of 91 with a bottle of STP injector cleaner.

Bassani's sounding fantastic now.
