Ok....I have an 05 LS.....now the lights under our side mirrors.....I went to change them, and the guy at a local shop around here said, "Oh yeah they are juss Wedge bulbs....Here these will work!" Now I bought there most expensive, Supposdly brightest on the market, L.E.D. bulbs.....went to change them and BAM....They are not! It looks like a sealed unit!?!?!? Whats goin on here? Does anyone know? Is there anything that will work there....? Please any info will help! Thanks everyone... Bye!

I'm pretty sure you cant get in. At least not without actually taking the mirror off the unit it self, and even then I'm not sure if it could be changed out.

I was looking into this here since I saw the puddle light upgrade for the earlier models.

They're sealed. The way I would do it is to install another light next to the stocker, using the stocker's wiring.

Yeah....I took it out...No Prob.....But SEALED?!?!? SUX! I think I might go and try 2 get an extra pair off of ebay or a junk yeard or sumthin....and heat gun them apart, rewire sum bright LEDs in there! www.superbrightleds.com should have somthing that can work for me. Wish me luck! Unless someone else knows of anything.....This has only been posted for like 15mins! LoL:D

This issue has been discussed several times before. The general consensus is that changing the bulbs in the outside mirrors is nearly impossible. I think one or two people have done it, but its not easy IIRC.

Yep there are 1 or 2 people on these forums that have changed it and they said its more trouble than its worth but hey if you can figure it out let us know! just search mirror lights or something and im sure you will eventually find the one guy that did.. good luck
