Had an 03 LS V8 5-6 years ago. I liked the car a lot. Had a coil replaced under the TSB and the previous owner had the valve cover gasket dealt with. Now I'm looking at maybe (and I have to emphasis maybe) picking up a really clean 06. Were these issues, and any others, fixed by then? Is there anything that was still a big problem by the end of the run? Also, is it correct that all the 06's looked like the earlier LSE with the round fog lights? Was there still an LSE or any other special package in 06?

Any info is appreciated and will help in the final decision.

BTW, although I haven't participated on the other side, I currently have a super clean 1990 Sedan DeVille in the fleet. Big whoop, right? It was dirt cheap and is a great cruiser that I don't care if anything happens to.

while it is the latest LS and having the most refinements, it is still an LS.
