hooked up a sony radio tuner works fine and sounds good and cds and aux play but no sound comes out for cd and aux. i know it all works because i had it in a different car before. any help is appreciated!

thanks

Just a shot in the dark, but if there is an amp turn on wire, is it connected to the power antenna wire by mistake? I've seen people do that before.

Un do all wires and rewire everyone. Something has crossed or grounded out by mistake. Fords r bad for that especially explorers but just unhook everything and rewire all. Just make sure all wires r matched and soldered or taped or clamped securely.

if you are sure you didn't hook up the radios power ant. wire(Blue) to the cars amp turn on instead of the amp turn on wire(blue with white) then the radio amp turn on is bad. The way you explained it sounds like you hooked up the blue not blue with white trace.
you can always use the red ignition wire to turn on the factory amp in a pinch.

That last week on the wife's explorer. Went back to the wiring schematic and found it.
