Brand new to the site and im sure most of questions here will be answered within 30 minutes of searching the site but just in case and ive had these q's on my mind for the past 2 weeks.

I have a 93 mark8, dad bought it for me when i was in hs. never thought much of it. having broke the grill and doing research on it found out it was a pretty badass car. always knew it was fast and that with some rims it could be pretty good lookin.

also is it just my car or is it everyones, at night i cant hardly see unless i have the brights on and im not sure if im blinding everyone but i cant see. got one of the headlight cleaning kits, changed bulbs, helped maybe 1%.

what i would like to know,

where can i get a grill replacement?

once i have the grill can get some body shop to put it in?
(found step by step instructions but ive never messed with cars)

with the airbladders still in how big of rims could i go up too?

how costly is it to switch the airbladders with regular suspension?

again a huge thank you in advance, i really want to do this car right but im so new and lost.

hmm.

its not just you. mark viii headlights suck. new/refinished housings and an HID kit (i used DDM tuning) help a ton.

used grilles are around, tasca ford or max at chapman ford (see ad at right) will sell you a new one for around 350.

with or without air suspension, you can go to 20 with the proper offset, but i wouldn't go above 18. ride comfort drops and tire price goes way up.

kits start at around 350-400.
or you could piece together a kit from similar year thunderbird parts. might be more expensive, but if you use quality parts it will ride MUCH better.
but i would keep the air. i love mine. 182k and still rocking the air ride. with new air springs of course.

oh. and use that search button! :D

yea ive emailed about 5 or 6 people about loose end threads about grills, i cant believe that grille goes for that much but thanks for info man

thank you for all the info. one more questions though

when i was searching for grilles, before i found this forum, i found step by step instructions on replacing the grille.

sadly the majority of these instructions were details on how to remove the bumper to put the grille in.

so the whole bumper has to come off to install the grille?

Bumper is an easy drop even for someone who hasn't done much with cars. Body shop will charge you an arm and a leg to take the bumper off and put one on.

Most grills you'll find at bone yard are not going to be perfect but they will be usable. They might have a tab or two broken off but they will work.

If you want I have a so so one that I'd sell you cheap send me a PM.
