does anyone know how to get behind the map light and sunroof switches. I have a nasty rattle up there and I need to take the housing down to fix it, but i don't want to yank on it to hard and break it if that isn't the way to take the housing down.

the front dome lamp is quite difficult. i tried but felt i was going to break the plastic covers for the sunvisor when i was prying at them. so i gave up, do they require a lot of prying to get off

Great information. Can anyone tell me if the 00 v6 LS has the wiring for the auto dimming mirror in the front dome light/sunroof swiitch? I think I might of had one cause of a line on the windshield right there that won't come off. I have bought a auto-dimming mirror, but havn't hooked it up yet cause of not knowing the wiring.

NickLS, thanks for the info, but man that looks like something I couldn't do. I'd need an electricial to translate that information. Could you like put , red wire hooks up to... black wire to.... other wires to.....

Sorry, I know your not aware of what kind of mirror I have so I'll try to post a pic. I bought on Ebay. Thanks for your help though. Are you coming up through St. Louis anytime soon? LOL :)

It actually has 3 sets. One for the temp sensor. (i'm not hooking that up cause the LS has that already. It has another one for power, and another that hooks up into that one that is for.... DUH. I need to find that instruction manual. Crap. I thought it was in my car or at my desk at work. Poo. Have to find that.

hah, just completed this ,replacin the bulbs, let me tell u what a b!tch to do. i'm thoroughly impressed with the strength of all the clips including the a pillar and maplight cover, i was pulling pretty hard. some tips i found out are to stand outside the car and push the a pillar towards the stereo player, the handles above the front doors i would suggest prying the plastic pieces from the side closest to the window/door, and for the sunvisor plastic piece look all the way around to the side with the a pillar, there shuld be a split in it. try prying on both sides of that split. i also found the hardest part was actually pulling the headliner down gently without ripping or literally pulling it down. if i would have known those tips in the beginning it would have helped considerably. so i hope this helps
