Would I need to get a tune if I were to put my brothers stock 80mm mass air from his SVT Lightning in my mark viii?

Yes.. But its a 90mm and it would be absolutely pointless. Stock is the only way to go.

Lightning's use 90mm, and yes you would, but there is NO reason to do it... our MAF isn't even close to being a restriction...

I think older Ls might have had an 80mm MAF either way your wasting your time and money. Def need a tune with the 90mm MAF and won't make any more power then the stockunit, which is 80mm btw.
