maden voyage and trans or ujoint problem

i have been working on bringing this car back to it's former glory. and i finaly got to just drive it today. when u accelerate it shifts perfectly. then when you hit your happy speed let out on the pedal thunk thunk. then if you just cruise it will do it. almost feels like a miss but sounds like it has play in the driveline? i am about to jack it back up and check the ujoints or could it be the rear end or what IDK. suggestions please. i want to figure it out before i put my jmod in.

If it feels like a miss, it probably is. Check wires and coils packs.

i really dont think it is a miss

it just feels like it is trying to downshift when i let off the gas. i just went and drove it agian. it will bark 2nd at wot if you manually shift it. my jmod is still sitting on the work bench. i am starting to love this car

i just called the guy who sold me my shift kit and he thinks torque converter i am going to try the mercV and jmod on mon or tues. i hope that fixes it.
