The 10-disc changer is my MarkVIII is acting up and pissing me off. I never liked the idea of a changer in the trunk anyway, and I would much prefer a single disc cd player head unit. A friend of mine who works at a junkyard grabbed me one out of a 98 Mercury Mountaineer, only problem is that car has the Mach stereo system, and my lincoln has the premium sound. I have the wiring diagrams for both cars, so wiring it in isn't a problem, I just want to make sure that it will actually work before I go through all that effort. Will the Mach head unit blow the premium sound amp from having too much power on the inputs? Will not having the Mach unit tapped into the VSS cause problems? Any help you have would be appreciated.
