Lumbar Support Question

Adjusted my support yesterday for the first time in several months. It's now 'out' all the way and won't go back down. Comments and suggestions very welcome!!! ('02 driver's side)

Take the plastic panel off the back of the seat and see what is going on. (Pull the panel towards you at the bottom, then tilt it away from the top.) There is a metal pull cord (like bicycle brakes) that pulls on a wide piece of flexible metal.

my drivers side lumber support has never worked. i didn't even know our cars had one until a passenger informed me of it
