Ok, so I'm planning on buying new wheels/tires. I've read about all of the lug nut problems people have had with the 1st generation LS's. So I was trying to take mine off, which is a '02, so I could clean up the stock rims, and I was successful with all lug nuts but one. It spins but will not come off. They are the chrome ones with the washer. Has anyone else had this problem, and what did you do???

I'm guessing most aftermarket rims work with the Chrysler Sebring Lugs, or should I look at some different ones???

same thing just happened to me...took it to my local mechanic...apparently it was crossthreaded

i was able to remove my damaged lug nut with a smaller socket. tap the socket with a hammer to make sure its on all the way so it wont do more damage to it.

Did that already. Like I said it just spins. Acts like it's stripped, I just need to know how I can bust the piece of crap off.

The easiest way to get it off is to cut it. Cut along the outside of the nut with either a gas axe, air chisel or angle grinder. You should be able to get the nut off. You might be able to re-thread the stud if it is only slightly damaged.
