My car has been great to me, the only other issue I have had is a thermostat go bad, my LS has 120,000 miles on it today. Now the next thing. Sometimes when I need my Ls's extra power I push down on the pedal and it almost dies. It acts like I just cut its nutts of and boggs way down. Once I let up and give her another go its back to normal. It seems to only happen when I need to give alittle more gas then normal. Any ideas what might be wrong? It's starting to happen a little more frequently and I don't like it.
It's a 2001 v8.

Thanks,
Joe

sounds like its just the transmission's lockup converter attempting to maintain gas milage. either do the double tap, or slide it over to D4. I think you may also be able to put a switch in line to kill the feature alltogether if you so desire, but i have not looked into it on this car.

Not sure about that, you could be right. All I know is it just started doing this a couple months ago and it didn't do it before.
Any idea how to fix?

press the gas harder :D

if you (or previous owner) ever brought your car in for service, they may have updated the computer with a transmission update. Not sure if that would even fix it, or how to tell if its been done. Its nothing serious though, just annoying.

Clogged air filter perhaps?

check air flow, IAC valve operation, carbon buildup in throttle body.
