okay, so when my car is idiling in drive i can hear the gurgling sound like its stomack is growling...like a burbling kinda sound. When i get up to about 15 mph it stops...and when in park it stops....any ideas???

Check your antifreeze first thing in the AM. Mine did the same, was down about a quart.

I noticed my 06 doing this but it does it once the car is warmed up. only I can only hear it when just idling or at a stop light. when driving i cant really hear it. almost like a muffled pot of boiling water? Same thing you think? 61000 miles
If so, I was going to have a coolant system flush done anyway.

Mine does this too, and it will even keep percolating it for a minute or so after I turn the car off. I think it's some air in the heater core or lines because I never hear it in the summer. I did the air-bleed last year but it didn't seem to help, I guess I'll try it again.

Yeah, mine does it for a couple minutes after the car is off too...
maybe it is time for a coolant system flush like I was thinkg?
Just for comparison how many miles on yours Owlman?

I remember it first making the noise last winter, that was probably around 23k. I noticed the coolant level was really low then, that may be how air got in the system.

Well another winter is approaching and my car is making coffee again.
Here's a clip for those that are curious (turn your volume up)
YouTube - Mystery gurgle sound from dash

Seems to be loudest from the center of the dash close to the windshield. Air in the heater core is my only guess, I suppose I'll try bleeding it again.

Its just the coolant "burping" in the resavior** <To hell with spelling that word.. Check the level when the engine is cold..

You have leaks in the cooling system and they are letting air in. You need to find and fix the leaks. Then this problem will go away.
