i want to change my valve cover gasket and my pcv valve. i am somewhat of a DIYer but im hearing its a complicated job. i was wondering if there was any DIY LS owners who have done this themselves and can over see/help/teach me to do this..i know nuthin in this world is free so i am willing to pay for your time. thanks

also if anyone is getting rid of these parts in the Tristate area ill gladly take it off your hands

Caps that go over the seat controls(passenger)
far right vent cap on dashboard
center consol cover/lid (my leather is cracking) deep charcoal

by the way i have a 2002 v6

I live in Jersey...If you got tools maybe we can work something out and I could do my brakes and stuff....I have a v6 shop manual but no tools. And if the side you are working on is on the passenger side then its tricky....and expensive. I took it to the dealer to do mine....but if you need the manual maybe we could get together

Try the TECH ARTICLES at the top of the page, go down on the left to LS and Valve Cover Seal Replacement.

its pretty easy if u have the right tools. I just did mine, need some extensions and swivel sockets. Do not tighten the bolts down too much or you will strip them. Do the passenger dide first the driver side takes dome time due to all the hoses u have to move.
