I Wanna Lower my Ls, but I Have no clue on how much i should lower.
Also what springs should i use?
Any Lowered Ls here?
I Have 20" so it can be dat much. but yeah any suggestions on how much to lower?

I have sprint springs and my car is lowered almost 2 inches. I love the look I wish it was even a lil lower. Look at my car domain pics to see what it looks like

how much were those springs?

btw your car is SIckkkkkkkk!!! The Rims Are Sweet!!! like what your doin with da interior!

Thanks alot man I think they were around 250. I think you will love the look of your car lowered. Yea im trying to go from a different look than everyone else with the interior im not done but when I am ill get some more pics up

I Guess Im Going with Eibachs, Found them at Sears near my house, i just gotta see they gonna charge for installation.

NYC LS8
How much you pay for the springs? did u install yourself?

dude, tirerack has them for like 246 shipped. For install, you're probably at 200-250, plus whatever they charge to check alignment. Of course, MN prices could very well vary from CA prices.

200 shipped from someone on here who sold their car. Me and a friend did the install at another friend's shop.

I could have swore I read that in most cases the 200-250 included the alignment. I guess you should really just open the phone book and call about the install. Prices do vary so this MAY be one of those things that just cant be accurately answered on a forum.

Try to find a small time shop. I know in my area most places are hard up about you bringing the parts in do to insurance issues and all. I would do it on your own and take it for the alignment test 2 weeks later and go from that point on if you and or the machanic doing the test feel the correction is needed.

The Thing is i have No IDEA on how to do this myself. normally i end up Messing things up, so dats y i rather let the ppl who know do it. but i'm gonna call right now. see how much they charge...

So I called, they charging me $575.74 for installing all 4 springs, and allingment. what you think fair? or too much?

jwerner, you could very well be correct that the 200-250 included the alignment check. I can't remember exactly from when I called to get a quote. I too would do the install myself, and bring it in to get the alignment checked. I just called to see if it would be worth it to do it myself.

Do a search. I have requested a how to and some one gave a good one. That is insane, I wouldn't pay that much. Its really not that hard looking at all and many members say it was not hard. That has to be the price including springs.

I really cant see messing anything up.

I remember looking on youtube and some one posted a video f a few guys doing it in a public parking garage. The most it takes out of the ordinary is using a spring compressor. That can be found cheap and for the price it cost to purchase one you could rent one and get the deposit back after its returned.

They actually charge me the allingment, the quote was $500.75 without allingment. but yeah, if someone has a HOW TO dat would be helpfull i could ask my Racing friends to see if they can hook me up. cuz yeah that seems a bit much. i rather pay 3 24pack CORONA cases then $575.75 lol

yeah he clearly put allot of work into his ride! Not my style, but it oozes with tons of time! Looks like some clean work too!

On the lowering thing, if I can fit everything I want performance wise (see 6spd TT Nitro LS thread for details) and lower mine, she'll get a set of Eibachs and only come down an inch or so. With my 20"s and the toyos I have about three fingers spacing.... I'd like to get about one. All that is VERY dependant on the performance stuff fitting with the lowering. Turbo is more important than lowering

Performance requires a certain medium as far as ride height. If you don't go low enough its pointless and if you go to low.... well same be said.
