Hi guys,

I’ve had my car for about a month of so now. :D I’m slowly getting around to fixing a few things… :shifty:

First thing that’s really annoying is the message centre button(s) is loose on the left side. When I push the reset button the whole unit pushes in… I found a diagram from http://deneau.info/ls/ after searching this site. (SECTION 413-08: Information and Message Center – Removal and installation)

I’m stuck on Step 1: NOTE: The instrument panel center register panel is held in place by spring clips located on the panel. - Remove the instrument panel center register panel. I’m not sure how the spring clips work, do I need a special tool?

A few pics of the car. They’re not the very good because it was raining all weekend.

Just get a hold and pull straight out toward you, then you can glue the broken tab.

I had the exact same issue. It was easier for me to pull from the bottom, below the buttons. The buttons are screwed to the plastic on each side, the plastic mounting point broke off. I epoxied mine, leaving it clamped overnight...I recommend at least doing that, as cutting corners will not last. Superglue or anything not left to cure with pressure will not hold up.

Thanks Guys! :)

That's too simple!

I'll give that a go this weekend! :D

On to the next things! ;)

same issue here with me

what I did was sand the entire contact surface of the plastic, gorilla glue a rubber sleeve for the factory screw where it originally broke, then hand screw the screw into the rubber sleeve, then I doused the entire package in plastic on plastic epoxy

like brand new, hasn't gone anywhere for a year now
