so will this device let you play movies will driving? along with the GPS? heard that it does not let you do this...

Yes it will, but not straight out of the box. Check out the avic411.com link that's been posted. Tons of great info on there.

got a questions you peeps might be able to answer for me...looking hard for a good deal on a D3 but my concern is the 1 disc drive on the device...now when i take out my factory nav system and put in the D3 can i hook up the old DVD drive in the back where i put my Nav disc at to the new D3 unit, so it acts as the Nav drive so I can still put a cd in the head unit!?!?

Maybe?? I doubt it though. Just depends on how the factory nav was hooked up. Google will probly help you more on that.
