After being very patient and working with gene got the chip finally in and running. First thing i noticed is the lag between gears in low rpm's is virtually gone. The car is much more aggressive, im getting better gas milage, and it definetly is up in horsepower.

This shift points seem the same, but that has yet to be really seen because there is terrible weather. The shifting is much more accurate, not neccessarly harder but more on point, no more lag. Recommend this chip to anyone for the price you can't beat it. No pinging or anything - running k and n conigal filter, removed mufflers and resonators (glasspacks)... the chip really woke the car up- one word aggressive.:) :D
 
Geno, geography will prevent me from coming out and having you tune, if you get some time can you let me know what I need to do and if it's viable for me to install the chip myself? PM me if you would! Thanks!
 
yup.... definitely worth it.......just wait til you are on the highway and punch it to pass... it gets up and goes INSTANTLY !!:cool: :cool:
 
MAN!!! If i had the money this would be the very next thing i bought for the car. I wonder how long the deal will go on with the tenth anni. thing

my tires let loose if i do that around 40 ish miles an hour - granted my tires are not new though, but still - before when I would mash on it, i would get a pretty much perfect launch on these tires from a stand still, - i have intake and removed mufflers and resonators.

now with the chip, squeeling tires - shifts - squeeling tires large tq. steer. lol, im afraid to punch it unless im going over 60 at least. dont want to end up too sideways.

Through my chip debaccle ive read a lot about people saying how the car has to be tuned because all individual cars are different. I don't subscribe to that channel, given the engine code is well more than enough to have a great tune- also with this chip you get one of the guru's of all mkviii's to write the program, plus a well known manufacture Diablosport to put it on. :)

Seems like you are overly impressed with what a chip can do to a stock mark VIII. I'm guessing that your car is a couple of seconds faster in the 1/4 mile as well?
 
im overly impressed, that means im too impressed - and it seems like your being sarcastic when you say a couple of seconds, or is that just me? I commenting on how happy I am with the chip, why do you have to post on my thread and be like ohh im guessing your car is a couple seconds faster. and if you would have read the post, my car is not stock. so before you say guess and seem and write with all this mystery and vague terminalogy - why dont you read my post.

yeah.. mine used to do that... but thanx to 275mm nitto ultra high perf. on the rears.. i get a pleasant CHIIIRP !!
