Little Lincoln Emblem

The Little Lincoln Emblem next to the radio. I believe it on 95's and up. Is it functional? Is it what reads the cabin temp? Just curious.

Cabin temp is sampled through the grated opening between the message computer and the buttons. Right above the dummy lights over the buttons.

That is true on Gen 2 cars, but on 96\96 cars the lincoln emblem is the operational cabin temp sensor.
