Lincoln Ls wiper or transmission??????!!!!!

I have a 2004 lincoln ls. We had to pull the dash to fix the control climate vale and heater core. That is fixed !! THe windshield wipers were working before we pulled the dash. Afterwards they stopped. Eerythings is connected, we checked connections two times . Mechanic says the windshield wiper motor is not making any noise. Is there anything else I could check. **** How do I know if it is the LIncoln ls wiper or transmission? Thanks in advance.

1) I hear no noise from motor,
2) the fuses work are ok.

Maybe you clipped a wire going to them? I would check to see if you have voltage at the plug..

So... if we clipped a wire going to the plug, then that is why there is no sound coming from the motor? We might not necessarily need a new motor... huh?


Would that wire be found in the dash?

When you say clipped a wire, do you mean, we didn't plug it back, or maybe the dash is pinching it, or actually cut it?

Exactly.. I would test to see if you have voltage at the plug.. If you don't, then start tracing the wire and see where the break is.. Also, try another fuse because sometimes they don't look blown when they are..

If you will look at the link that I posted, it tells you exactly where and how to test to determine exactly what and where the fault is.
