lincoln ls v6 exhaust

Use the search there are several ls' here with the catback. You can find a sound clip on youtube

ive only seen 1 3.0 v6 on youtube sounds nice but you never know videos can be diseving :P

A v6 won't have a muscle tone. I laugh when I hear v6 Mustangs with exhaust. I only like a few v6 or I6 exhaust sounds and most are from Nissan.

The Magnaflow sounds pretty sweet on our V6. My LS was the development platform for the Magnaflow system. You should have heard it with the short resonators! I thought my teeth would rattle out. It had a drone like I had no exhaust system.

yes i do agree a v6 shouldnt have a muscle tone. i want a nice melow purr no cracking..did you guys see a + performance,MPG?

I should be adding another V6 video up as soon as I have time to record one.

My system is stock all the way to the mufflers, which I swapped out for Magnaflow 11225's with some cheap Autozone 2.5" chrome turn down tips.

I installed my Magnaflow cat-back system yesterday, it sounds fantastic. Couldn't be happier. I will have to see if I can record a video of it, hard to rev it up with the rev limiter lol but I will see if I can find somewhere that I can make a video of me driving off and back.

loomis22 what would an X pipe do?...more performance?

Not really too sure lol. I'm no expert, that's for sure. I have noticed a performance increase over the stock system, that's about all I know other than from reading things I found on google. Here is a small sample of what I found by searching "what does an x pipe do+exhaust."

The x-pipe allows the exhaust to breathe better and gives a more smooth, mellow sound.

^^^ and takes some of the raspy sound away, act's like a resonator, but doesnt reduce the sound as much, maybe reduces it at 1/10 of a resonator.

I have an exhaust on my LS v6 but with the manual transmission so I can rev more than I'd ever care to. I can say that I've never noticed any crackling or popping from the exhaust, my camaro is a completely different story however.
As my exhaust has aged it's tone has deepened. When I stand at the back of my car when it's idling say to get something out of the trunk you feel the exhaust more than you hear it. It does occasionally vibrate the rear bumper when warming up too because of it's bass like characteristics. In the car I don't notice it at all.

so no power diffrence? what would you guys suggest i get on my exhaust ? 3.0 v6, should i keep the resonator on after doing piping?
