I Have A 3.9 Ls V8 I Put Too Many Miles On It In Six Month. My Tranny Got Rebuilt In The First 2000 Miles Of Driving(after The Great Mentally Handicapped People At Cerritos Lincoln In Cerritos California Kept It For 21 Days Exactly To Accomplish Thisgreat Feat).

List Of Events

Now About 4 Weeks Ago I Gassed It

Went Into High Rpms

Check Engine Light Came On

No Powerloss Significant

1 Week Passed

I Checked The Code Out, Didnt Write It Down And Forgot It

Light Did Not Come On
Again

I Replaced All The Spark Plugs

Light Didnot Comeon Again

But,..... I Can Now Feel The Power Loss, And Very Low Fuel Economy

I Get About 14mpg On The Computer When I Press The Fuel Reset Button On The Dash And This Is Going About 30ata Constant Speed With No Braking Or Accelerations

I Told The Guy At The Dealer My Check Engine Came On I Had A Missfire, Check Ekngine Light Story And How I Erased It And Forgot It Etc!

Now He Says There Is Nothing Wrong With It

I Guess The Code Does Not Come Up And So Now They Say They Have To Do A Stress Tests If This Is Absolutely The Problem I Think It Is.
All This Test Out Of My Pocket.

The Big Question; Any One Know Where I Can Rent The Tool In Order To Test My Cop's Or Buy, Not Too Expensive; Or Better Yet A Reliableshop That Will Check This Out And Get It Taken Care Of Under Warranty (mpp) In The Los Angeles Area. How Can I Find That Cop Again?

If All Fails Ill Just Gas It And Either Find The Bugger Orkill My Engine. Thats Why I Paid For The Warranty Anyway.

Oh Also Can They Find The Code I Erased? Or Is This Just Nonsense About Not Being Able To, They Mentioned Something About A G6 Code Or Memory Or Something/ Any Info Will Help.
If I Take It To An Elctrical Diagnostics Guy Will He Be Able To Dig It Out ? The Car Also Kinda Puls Itself Sometimes, I Told The Dealer I Had "hard Shifting" He Saidit Was Ok Where Can I Get My Tranny Reprogrammed For Better Gear Shifting No Questions Asked In Los Angeles?
Oh And If It Wasa Really Bad Misfire Could It Have Screwed My Cats That Fast In 1200 Miles?

Go out and romp on it some more, that'll make the code come back if it was related to a COP. Poor fuel economy though probably means a bad O2 sensor.

I'd reset the PCM by disconnecting the battery for about a half hour, or touching the terminals together. Then romp on it like sts said and see if it'll throw the code.
