Looks like those ebay 10 dollar HP addons. Don't believe it for a second. IIRC, They do something to fool the MAF to think it's really cold outside, and adjusts the A/F ratio accordingly. I wouldn't think something like that would be safe for continued use.

I've heard that back in the old days, you could just pull the sensor and put it in the freezer for a while... and that was free!

After you put the sensor in the freezer you would have to OHM it out and replace the sensor with a resistor of the same value to make the car think it was always 50 degrees for instance. I did that on my 88 Formula. That pig needed all the help it could get with it's whopping 170hp V8!
