Lincoln LS 3.9 Intake System Please!!! Help!!!

Why do you keep saying chrome? Isn't it just polished aluminum?

Take a few minutes with a scotch brite pad and you'll get the look you want.

so I talked to the guy on ebay, the 500 dollar price tag won't be there forever, should be back to ~75 here soon

Chrome sounds cooler.

The one I had did have a worn mark in it, it looked like it was a finish on top. After I sanded it down that mark didn't change. I would with you in that it's just polished.

Is there any cheaper ways of putting one together for a gen2? mines an 05, and I cant see spending over 100 for a cai...

Im sure there are guys and gals who have made there own... I have no problem doing so...

My only issue is the maf sensor on the neck of the factory box... wanted to cut the neck off the box to keep the sensor, and get a rubber connector and go from there...

Any one on here do this?

Pics?

PVC it up... there was a new member who looked like he (and his GF) rigged one up not to long ago... you can engineer it any way you want with enough pipe and elbows (and glue...and duct tape)

And for those looking to do the Gen I don't forget to buy another coupler for the MAF housing to aluminum tube. Why there isn't two couplers offered for this is just asking for a lean condition.

It also helps to fashion a 1" steel bracket to bolt where the airfilter ring and maf housing mate to the bolts on the engine that holds the lower Rad hose bracket. This way the cai moves when the engine torques instead of hanging onto the inner wheel well begging for the airfilter to be pulled off
