LIncoln LS 2000 transmission problems

I have the V8 model and my latest issue has been the transmission. I can start and drive the car for a few minutes. If I have to stop for any reason and I step on the gas the engine revs up but the car will not drive. Has anybody experienced this problem?

Low transmission fluid is one of the many things that can cause this symptom. You will have to get it diagnosed. Whatever the issue is, you are almost certainly doing more damage to it by trying to drive it in this condition.
