Lights on the shifter are dead

as I was driving I noticed the light on the shift consol are dead you cant see PRND etc... is the a bulb or fuse that control the lights on the tranny shifter consoul?

Of course there is a bulb, otherwise it would never light up.
and yes with ANY electrical circuit there is a fuse.

The owners manual will point you in the direction of the fuse.

I'd check the bulb and see if there is power to the bulb socket with a test light.
pretty simple stuff.

The Gen II has LEDs there, IIRC. One for each gate.

I'd do the easy test and pop the trim off and see if you are getting 12v to the shifter...
