Well it's time for me to do more work on my Mark. It needs new fluid and front brakes. I have 2 options to go with.

1) Replacing the pads and having the rotors turned.

I would probably use some hawk pads in this application, since I've heard nothing but good about them.

2) Mustang GT PBR front upgrade.

I would stick probably with some ceramics here. My only qualm is the phenolic pistons - and the cost will be a hundred more or so.

Obviously there's trade offs to both, but I figure with a good set of pads the stock system may be adequate - maybe I'm wrong?

I'm going to use DOT4 fluid - as I have plenty of it.

I've read there's really no options for SS brake lines. Can't we use some off a T-Bird? Or are they different enough to pay a premium?

My opinion is to buy new Bendix Rotors and use their ceramix pads and you will have terrific braking for a reasonable price. Be sure you do the break in procedure and you will aviod any rotor problems. If you calipers are crap then Cardone (Advance) offers quality rebuilt sets.

I dont know much about upgrades but I know my stockers are a big bag of grey haired suck.
