my trunk is leaking pretty bad and i cant seem to find out where its coming from. i poured water all around the seal and nothing leaked. is there a common place it could leak from? any ideas would help!

pull all of the lining part out of the trunk, then have a friend drive through a car wash with you and a flash light in the trunk.

On my wife's 2000 I observed the taillights have a designed channel gap on the inside platic lip near the trunk gasket seal, if these are clogged by leaves etc. water gets into the trunk. If I clean these out with a hose & a coat hangar the trunk stays dry! If you clean thes out and pour water into the back center of the trunk behind the gasket with the trunk open you will see the designed flow of water out the back thru this channel. Re-sealling the gasket is a good idea also!

If you say it is leaking pretty good , and it is not the seal then , I agree with Joegr if you have a moonroof, the rear corner drain hoses run through the trunk and may have disconnected., Frank T
