Leaking oil

I had my car up on the hoist today at school and I saw that it was leaking oil from above the catalytic converter. What could be the problem to this? maybe a valve cover gasket?

That's what I would guess.. You kind of described a general area..

Yeah, thats all I could tell. I couldnt see exactly where it was coming from just that it was above it and that its dripping down the catalytic converter

I would have to say VCGs because that is the only thing up there

V8 or V6?
I think the V6 has some more leak points.

I would have to say VCGs.. With the engine cold, run your hand across the bottom of the valve cover and see if any oil gets on your hands..
