KidL! Have you seen this thread? The guy did the conversion.

Hite used the Flex-a-lite 180 (Note: his write-up says 180, sig says 183, they appear to be the same besides Summit listing the 183 as a Dodge-specific fan?). Seems like a better choice, though there is a $65 price difference

What you can immediately notice is that the stock shrouds are wider than they are tall. Now, I can't currently measure the dimensions of my stock hydraulic setup, but the 168 is barely wider than fan itself. Sure, you could probably mount the 168 sideways, but it's still smaller than the 180. The FaL 160 instructions mention filling in a bunch of gaps. Some things to consider...

Yeah,FDR,the one thing I noticed was he said it was a perfect fit. That's the kind I would be looking for. don-ohio (:^)

I know what I said about using carriage bolts to mount the Gen 2 high brake light, but this is not a place where I'd consider fitting a round fan in a square shroud in a round hole as a "perfect fit"

Just going by what HalfGig said,FDR: Quote: `I bought a Flex-a-Lite series 160 fan for the conversion. The fan is 16", 3000 CFM and draws only 19.5 amps. This fan in size is identical to a cheaper model 168. The difference is the 160 has a controller unit included with it.

This fan fits perfectly inside the ORIGINAL SHROUD on the top and bottom. There is approximately 2" of space on the left and right sides. I've included a link to the pictures on photobucket at the bottom of this post. I apologize for not getting the pics in order the way I wanted to. The following is a list of the work performed for this conversion. End Quote. don-ohio (:^)

I used a 180 on my 2000 and a 183 on my 2002. Both came with a controller. The 183 came with brackets i could modify to work perfectly.

Kid...please dont wire your fan like the guy in dons link. If u want info on wiring, pm me
