Keep 3rd cat or replace with X? on a 98lsc

So I ordered a set of 2.5 offset Magnaflow SS mufflers and a X pipe from a GT500 of Ebay.

option 1

keep the 3rd car and weld the X pipe further down stream under the drivers seat area

option 2

delete the 3rd cat and put the X pipe there

any pros/cons to deleting the 3rd cat? any power to be gained from it? dont want stinky exhaust smell in the cabin either like with off road pipes.

delete 3rd cat - it's pretty much there for no reason

+1 on that you should cut out anything that doesnt have an o2 sensor behind it and you will feel a minor difference

I would double check on the emissions and inspection laws where you are.
Since they aren't a problem here, I'd just get rid of it.
