This thing is really starting to tick me off. Ok so now, got it to turn over and it started but chugged like it only had one cylinder. Ran for a couple seconds and then just turned. It did sit up a couple weeks, but the only issue was a small overheating problem. Other than that it ran like a scalded dog. The coils are new and so I dont figure that is it. Is there a reset on these? I know on my crown vic patrol cars there are resets for the fuel pump in the trunk.

The easiest thing to check is the battery voltage. If it's under 12.7V with the ignition off, you'll get all kinds of odd behavior, and a "momentary start" is one of them.

I had the same thing happen with my Aunts 2000 LS. It would turn, but no ignition. once in a while it would fire up. I resolved it.

what had happen was, in the trunk, theres a fuse panel. Moisture got in, and the fuse thats in place for the Fuel pump, the fuse itself was fine. However, the gromit that the fuse sits inside of had corroded. I believe it was losing connection. When I removed the fuse, using a flash light I noticed the pins in the gromit were broken.

My fix: I removed the wire for the feul pump from the fuse panel. I then attached a speaker wire crumpet to the wire. then plugged the fuse into it and Car fire up like a charm!
Wrapped the wire in electrical tape and secured it safely so it wont come into contact with water or other electrical components.

so check the gromit in the fuse panel for the fuel pump in the trunk. Pins could be corroded or broken.

I don't have much as a mechanics insight, but I did have an experience similar that was diagnosised as a bug on my mass air flow sensor. It's a quick check that can at least eliminate that possibility.
