I just traded a vehicle for a black 02 LS. The car has 53,000 miles on it and has the 3.9L in it. It seems to run great. I've spent the last two days fixing some annoying things that I found wrong after I got it home.
1.There was a "clicking" noise in the drivers door when operating the window.
FIXED!
2.Headliner is sagging.
FIXED!
3.Left front foglight is loose...not fixed yet.
4.Paint is in terrible condition. Looks good from 10ft, but up close...I swear, the previous owner/s must have washed the car with sand. I took a rotary to the hood, roof, and trunk, and still couldn't get all of the scratches out. I still have to do the doors/fenders/bumpers.
5.Rear subs are both blown...rattle something awful with base turned up 1/3.
New subs will be in Monday.
6.Rear deck lid doesn't always pop when opened with the remote, I think the latch is sticking.
7.Passenger side rear seat leather is in poor condition. I'll have to check with an upholstery shop for a fix.
Anyways...I'm glad I found this sight, and will be visiting often. If anybody knows of any fixes for the deck lid, I'd be happy to listen. Also, how do I know if I have a "Sport" model? I have the 12 speaker Alpine 6 disc "in-dash" sound system. The car also has 17" aluminum wheels.
