It's less expensive to weld together 2 Y-Pipes rather then 1 X-Pipe

Is this just plain foolish to weld 2 Y-Pipes together instead of using 1 X-Pipe? Would it affect the performance any compared to the X-Pipe? It would less expensive to go this route.

Never mind. I found some cheaper X-Pipes.

It would be pretty cheap to weld in an x pipe. The expensive thing when doing a new exhuast is buying the actual parts. The labor is real cheap.
