Is This A Door Lock Actuator?

I just ordered one for my driver rear door, it makes the unlocking/locking noise but does nothing.

I asked for the driver rear door locking mechanism and the lady corrected me with saying the door actuator. I wanna make sure we're talking about the same part.

I am getting that and the drivers power window switch for $60 shipped.

Yes that locks the door. Door locking mechanism = door actuator to me.

Are you able to lock the door manually?

You can take it apart and see if maybe one of the levers jumped it's location. It happened to mine once and it basically jammed the actuator.

Yeah I can lock/unlock it manually.

To take it apart, do I just unscrew it from the door, pull it out of the door, open it up and look for something outta place?

exactly.. pry up some plastic clips and your there.. most likely the plastic gear broke... so you just need what you ordered

Yeah. Just move things around and figure out how it works to see what isn't working/moving how it should.
