Is the RoverAJ V8 crank the same as the 3.9 only longer?

Also will the motor run if I just refresh a 4.4 Rover bottom end and put it in for a litle more torque.
If I take the car to Bulgaria labor is cheap and a 4.4 2006 to 2009 bottom end can be had for a G here.
not much more HP but I can bold a 6R80 to it and maybe the new 8 speed.

So far as I know, all AJ cranks are the same as to main bearing diameters. The difference is in the stroke. And of course one has to match connecting rod length and/or pin placement in the pistons.
