is it ok to jack the front up by the k-member?

never done it before but I want both front wheels off this morning and was thinking about going about jacking it up this way.

Is it ok?

I've done it that way a few times, my jack has a pretty large lift pad

It's not the "best" way, but as long as it's centered, and on the large flat portion of the engine cradle (k-member), it'll be ok

Asked greg and he said yea; so I did it. Much easier than jacking each side up independently.

well someone needs to say it make sure your switch is off in the trunk if it still has air
