I am a new member to the site but have been hanging out for a few months reading some of the threads and everyone else has had some great help so I thought I would give it a try. I have a 2002 LS V8 with 162,000 mi. The list of repairs and parts replaced is extensive but for this matter I have new pads and rotors in front and brand new wheel bearings w/ abs sensors. All parts are new napa parts. Recently, as I have been braking, my abs has decided to kick on. It doesn't kick on completely and the light on the dash doesn't come on either. Haven't checked for codes yet but haven't really thought it would be necessary since there is no light. I guess im just lost and was hoping someone here had an idea or maybe the same issue in the past and what they did to resolve it. I appreciate all your help in advance.

i have the same exact problem someone please help a fellow memeber out!!!! im going crazy i cleaned sensors and everything with the rotors i have new bearing in the front with new sensors i get no codes and have no clue what to do.... i dont wanna go to stealership but its looking like thats my only option... im thinking of getting new sensors for the back but wat do you guys think

I'm sure that the ABS codes are there, and that they would greatly help to solve the mystery. Generic OBDII code scanners won't pick up most of the codes stored on the LS, including all ABS codes. You need a Ford specific scanner, or to go to a dealer.
