Will be doing some interior fixing this spring and am looking for a little insight.
The door trim around the drivers window is a little loose (guessing due to people pulling the door closed from this location).

See attached picture. What are some methods to fixing this. I was planning on taking the panel off and see what I can do with adhesive or staples.

tuck it under that rubber seal and use some superglue on the back side of the vinyl with the panel off

^ Ya, it just tucks away usually. The panel was not put on right the last time and as that stuff separates it can get caught up. Glue will not hurt but it may not be needed.

I've tried tucking it back in but it just pops back out. I am thinking glue will be the answer but i have yet to take the panel off.

Any leads on getting the tabs that hold the panels on?

Getting the tabs? As in replacing?

To remove door panel you need to:

Remove light reflector cover. Inside remove long phillips screw.

Remove switch panel by carefully prying up at the front. Remove 8 or 10mm bolt.

Carefully remove door handle surround - just pry off. It can scratch the handle, so slide off carefully. Helps if you can pull handle a little.

Lift panel up about 2 inches and pull back. A second person is great for removing all the electric connections.

^ I think thats right. Been a while. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

Mine did the exact same thing. Have something to rest the door panel on while you disconnect the switches. Once its off, use heavy duty contact cement(read directions)and make sure to have some clamps and a thin board (paint sticks are great) to hold down the material evenly to door panel while it dries. I just did this about a month back. Holds perfect.

Common, with direct sunlight, pull the panel, use a heat gun and slowly work it back to shape. Use some glue if needed to put it back together. These things just warp with too much sunlight.

If it discolors, after using the heat gun, go to autozone and pick up a can of all-prep in a spray can, and a can of the duplicolor gray vinyl die. Prep the panel with all-prep and mask off anything you don't want the die on, then spray several light coats until you're happy with the outcome.
