Intake question

Would an K&N air intake for a V6 from an 00-02 model work on an 04. If not why?

do you mean the actual filter or the complete assembly

If i'm not mistaking, no the full assemply won't work due to the fact the v8's intake tube goes towards the "back" of the motor, whereas the v6 intake is in the front

I should have read a lil bit more carefully before i posted, your not talking bout v6 to v8, my bad

ya i just dont know if theres a diffrence. It says only 00-02 and im wondering why? Why couldn't it?

just a guess here, but the MAS is a different style in my 2nd gen vs my 1st gen, see if you can find any pictures of a 1st gen to compair to yours to verify
