So how do you get those bushings out with out damaging the tube inside as i will need to reuse that tube with the new oem bushings i have for it.

I am getting my ass kicked right now. when you look through the tube it doesnt look like a 2 piece tube so i dont understand how to actually get those bushings off to put the new ones in.

i thought for sure there was a way to get the sleeves out. thankfully some how i dont think the bushings are ruined just yet. so i can probably keep them in there and then find someone to make a set. and replace em later.

The 2 sleeves overlap each other completely. That's why you can't look into the tube and see where they connect. This image shows the end of the outer sleeve with the end of the inner sleeve coming through the center. I've had luck separting these sleeves without damaging them on a few California cars by spraying both ends of the sleeves with pb blaster and then using a pry bar between the washer and the frame of the car.

I remember someone posting on here that reason for the sleeves being two part is for the factory workers to install the bushing easily . and seeing that there is no reason to have the split I would get some tubing the same size and cut it to length and put it in. it gives the strut rod a bearing surface to keep it from wearing into the rubber. another bean counter move by ford to save time and money. sock it to it and send it down the road. jd

Ya, but when you have to cut them out like the one on the left. It's time to make some like the one on the right...lol
