This is for my '94:
I stopped by Ford today to order the upgraded 1-2 and 2-3 Accumulator pistons & springs, and possibly the deeper pan with a drain plug.
The number I found on the forums for the 1-2 Lower purple spring was
F7AZ-7F284-BA
They said it wasn't listed as fittnig the trans in my '94 Mark.
Any ideas if this is correct for all the Marks or ?

Also, the deep pan (how much more does it hold by the way?)
I found two different numbers on the forums:
F8UZ-7A194-AA
F6AZ-7A194-A
Which one will work with my trans? The number I found for the filter seems to be the same for both.

I rather order the right parts to start and not run into surpriese doing the job...
Thanks,
J.

F7AZ-7F284-BA is the correct number for the lower spring. This is the spring recommended for the Jmod upgrade. Normal Ford parts guy will not know this.

F6AZ-7A194-A is the 96 deep sump pan. Its a normal pan with a small sump in the middle, still holds same amount of fluid.

F6AZ-7A098-A Is the filter for the above pan.

Spend another $50 and get a 24k GVW trans cooler as well.

How much were parts at the stealership? Just curious, no answer if you don't want.

Well, I don't think I'll bother with the pan then if it only holds the stock amount. I do have a huge 40k Long LPD cooler on the car too.
Thanks for the help with the spring and pan info :)
I didn't inquire about prices, but they did say the pan retails for about $50 CDN...

Get the sumped pan. Many people have problems with sucking up air while turning right on the stockers from 94-95. The newer filter will pick up from the sump so it also has fluid to pull in.

I've never heard of that (sucking up air), nor can I find any info what so ever anywhere to back that up. Do you have some more info and proof of this?
Thanks

Kewl, I must have missed that when I read through those articles. Thanks for the info.
Is it really a commmon problem though? Does this pan indeed have a drain plug (that might be worth it really just for that!?)

If FOMOC started using a sump pan I would say it was a problem. I personally had no issues but updated the pan anyway. I got my pan and filter from fordparts.com for $47.87 shipped. No drain plug but you can buy a kit.

Yah, that makes sense. I'll check in to the prices again and go from there. Thanks for the infomation and help :)

When you update the pan, remember to update the filter as well.
And to buy the new style filter for all subsequent filter replacements.

The filter you'll get for a '93 will be different than the one for a '98. If you don't have the newer style filter, you won't be able to take advantage of the new pan.
