So I've been considering looking for a new whip. An LSE that is. Now my 2000 Lincoln LSV8 is alright, knocking on 60k, pretty much fully loaded, A decent car it is

BUT:shifty: ...I saw an all Black 2002 Lincoln LSE with all the features I wanted to put on mine, i.e. the body kit, exhaust, grille, the Figure 8 cup holder instead of the flip out(BOOOOOOO:p ). The only issue that I have with it is the mileage. Remember, I'm @ 60k. Click the link and let me know what you guys think.:D

Unless you are really strapped for funds, why would anyone buy a car with 106K miles? You're just asking for trouble.

Here's my advice: If you want an LSE, get an 06 model. They have all the LSE bodyparts that you like, and you'll likely find one with low mileage and a factory warranty. Most 06 owners who have owned earlier LS models will tell you the 06 is the best of the best since all the bugs have been worked out.

looks perfect inside and out, i just want the damn sun roof dude LOL looks soooooooo sick in an LS, ( i got no sun roof on mines ) =(

Mileage is something to worry about .. Not sure about this one. I'm also not sure what mileage LS's just die lol .. harsh way to put it but ..

If i sell mine, you cant take my roof lol:cool:

Thats my same car, and i got it for 1,500 less and 20,000 less miles. try a negotiation.

I agree with the suggestion to go for the 2006 LSE. Getting rid of the 2000 with 60k miles for another with only cosmetic differences and much higher miles makes no sense.

Additionally, the 252 hp that the 00-02 LS's has, is "outdated" if youwill. Almost every modern 3.5 V6 now has HP and torque that exceeds the 00-02 LS V8 engine. You def want to get the 280hp V8 the 03 and up LS's have. And to be honest, 280hp from a V8 isnt much to brag about these days when you consider what Nissan has done with their V6

I don't disagree with this at all. However, I would like to point out that the Nissan engines are big time gas hogs. Our Infiniti FX35 (V6 w/260 HP) only got about 16 MPG. It may have been attributable to the low gearing, but lemme tell ya, $400 gas bills every month was a real pain.

I love the suggestions, "I suggest you look at a different model that costs nearly twice as much!" - Honestly, they're accurate, but still... price is a factor I'm sure, sometimes I forget this is a Lincoln forum, just cause I'm broke lol.

that is to high of a price for the car, well maybe i just got a great deal. Just bought a 2002 LSE, 57k, near perfect condition, $11k.

Well, price is one factor among many in this decision. The OP has to look at the big picture and decide for himself which route to take. If he wants to get an LS, the 2002 LSE he mentioned is one option. But, he has to understand that its got high mileage and the lower price may be illusory in light of the repair record of that year and mileage. Yes, a newer model costs more, but it would be more reliable and have a warranty, thus saving time and money. The question is: which is more important to him. He has to decide for himself.

That is a great deal on a great car, and i have no problem with the color....But...I live in memphis:( . Don't have any road trips planned....damnit

black is nice. but it is the hardest color to keep clean. i have navy blue, work at a car wash, and wish my car was white, silver, or a much lighter color that did not show water spots, dirt, and other grime like dark colors do...
