I wanna do an aftermartket exhaust dont have a lot of money to do it

if I were to do it in steps like over time

what should I first with first then end with I wanna do the x pipe and all that if there is already a thread like this post a link and i'll be on my way lol

There is no link.

Depending on what you get is how much it will run. I would buy 2 mufflers and an x pipe and have the shop install them. IF you want new, bigger pipes, it's more, new tips it's more, high flow cats it's more.

Check your local craigslist for used mufflers or ebay for the ones you want. They aren't that expensinve, it just adds up. You can get magnaflows for around 80 each.

never heard of them. Just go to youtube and check out what mufflers people with an ls are running and look for them online like at summitracing.com or other autoparts store.

i've never actually heard of any one using wrangler, but i'm pretty sure summit racing sells them

ok thank you I really wanna get stuff on e bay or online cuz the muffler shops around just wanna charge me way too much thats what I get living in a small town lol and my :q:q:q:q has to be legal since its my everyday driver and I live in CA

I checked that site and nothing I mean they have one for my car but its not california legal I HATE CA lol

NOTHING replaced after the cats is regulated. Magnaflow had my car for 2 weeks years ago to prototype the exhaust for the V6. It's been on the car for about 8 years. It is TOTALLY legal in CA. Here's what you want. I'm sure glad mine was free!

And, yea, I hate CA too. I can't wait until I can move out! The weather isn't worth all the other crap!

HI flow cats aren't legal in ca. You can change mufflers and things after the cats with no problem. Just replace the stock mufflers with the ones you want and take or keep the resonators.

well i just put my straight pipes on today, i did my mufflers first (step by step) then the straight pipes and cats/headers might happen sometime. i did it step by step because this is my first late model car and i didnt know how loud it would be with everything done. if you have no experience in exhaust work then just buy your mufflers see how you like the sound/loudness and go from there. I used flowmaster super 44's ive had em before and like them, alot of guys use magna-flows which also sound nice.

best of luck to you on your decision and results
