I smell Gas

I had to slam on my breaks and crank the wheel to avoid someone who came thru a stop sign the other day almost hit the curb or just nicked it, and now I smell Gas. could anything have popped off from the pressure of hitting the brakes so hard?

i am having the same issue at times. hitting the brakes really hard would have nothing to do with the gas smell as they are 2 separate systems(brake lines/gas lines).

hmm this is weird... same thing happened to me. hit the breaks hard then it smells like gas. weird anybody else?

I was sniffing around and it seems to be comming from where the shifter is. Oh ya a 3.9 V8

I had a close call one time too and had to hit the brakes hard. I thought I smelled gas too, but it turned out I sh|t my pants.
