i need everyones input and facts on putting wheel adapters on my car..

hey so i recently bought 5 lug "universal" rims that apparently aren't fitting my bolt pattern.. their is adapters made for this but it will make my wheels stick out an inch.. I am wondering if it is safe .. they are 20" and i don't want the fenders to smack the tire when going over bumps and such.. can anyone help me out here? is their a way to make my car not glide to where it goes up and down so it wont hit the tire... or what?

the LS offset is fairly high, so Im almost positive that the 20's you bought will not have an inch of room to spare. a bunch of people on here have 20's w/o spacers and they rub.

what is the width and offset on the 20's you bought?
