i called and made an offer...$3000 and i would feel like an utter retard paying that much, but i cannot find a Gen 2 anywhere...i found one in T.O, 1998 Red, Tan interior 57,000kms (30,000miles) for $10,000
 
I wouldn't even pay 3000 for that one. Looks like it wasn't maintained all that well.

Whats wrong with your gen 1?
 
nothing, it has no air ride...high milage 200,000miles, and i want a GEN 2

they just called me back $5000 plus tax...i told them it would rot there, its been there for atleast 2yrs that i know its just down the road from my work
 
lol you think they would get the hint.

My Gen1 had 247ish thousand miles and it ran strong no problems.

its looking like im gonna have to start looking state side...i cannot find a single one for a decent price in decent condition...

but im sure by the time i got one here, and got it inspected and all that i would be upwards of $4000...im also gonna check the auctions, ill bring a wrecked one back here if i have too...but i want to buy local and in canada, so much less of a hassle

Hell ill take a fixer upper...but i cant even find those...i found one last year but it was to far gone lost all forward gears, HIDS were gone, interior was destroyed and air ride was shot...and they still wanted upwards of $1000

I mean my car runs strong, but i like the updated look of the gen 2's...dont get me wrong, i swapped black interior into my car..all new brakes etc...other then lower balljoints and bushings and rear shock mounts the car is a nice driver
 
At least they got rid of that orange one they had finally!

This place seems to have a couple (both Gens,) the red one looks decent?...
Search around on the carpages.ca site, it looks a few are listed right now.
Theres only a couple on the trader site, one is the one you posted :(
 
Hey I live in Toronto and I have been looking for 6 months for a Gen2. The guy with the 57K Mark has access to three or four more for some better prices. There is a 97 Green tan interior in Cambridge for 4K looks very clean by pictures. I just looked at a 97 LSC Red/Ebony, clear coat on right rear 1/4 peeling, 1/4 has been repaired before, no cd changer, one HID out wheels shot, cup holder gone,neon not working but it is 3K and he will cert it for me the car has 157K so that would be 90K miles.

It is not easy to find a car up here!
 
Like I said, come on down and pick one up. I drove 850 miles to get my '96 back in 2004. I went 450 miles (one way) to get my 97.
 
I had no idea Gen2's were so hard to find here in Ontario. Good thing I don't want one :p

But I did pick a few parts from this one last week. It was up near Markham at Standard Auto Wreckers

Dont blame you for wanting to buy local... I bought my Mark in California and brought it back to Arizona. Wow the pain in the ass that was. I could only imagine what it would be to take it from the US to Canada.

I hope you pulled the headlights:D HID bulbs are expensive. If shipping wasn't so bad, i'd pay you to get me the door panels. I'm trying to set aside extra interiors for my long term DD.

just the paper work alone to get it across the border, gotta install daytime runnings and any recalls need to be performed...and then it needs to go for an inspection, plus a safety and etest..so yeah it is a pain, it would have to be a smokin deal

I was going back and forth to motor vehicles with paperwork when I got mine. Plus The State of Arizona wanted to tax me for the car since it was never bought in AZ. Ugh government always wanting your money
