Take a hairdryer and heat the emblem up. Then take some dental floss and slip it behind the emblem and work it down. It should come off.

I just chipped id witha knife. I guess I deserve it since i didnt get my grill from grey ghost, I was trying to be cheap, bought it off ebay for 50 bucks paid $120 for paint and labor. Total =$170 :Bang Ghost you have all my future buisness

Dang, hate to hear that. I send mounting instructions when I sell a McLaren grille. It even shows you how to take the emblem off. $120 for paint? What color was it?

thats a terrible price for the paint. i got mine for 60 off ebay and got it painted for 40. looks perfect. hey ghost do you have any pics of a black ls with the back surround painted, my painter said that it might chip easily since the chrome is hard to work with

I don't have any pictures of the black surround but if he preps the surround right the paint will adhere just fine.

Yeah I thought $120 was crazy he said the silver frost paint (1 pint) was $70
does that sound right?

Ken, I bought the emblem for the McLaren Grille from you because on the 04 the original emblem would not budge. I don't know if the design changed with everything in 03. I am here to say that my emblem would have broken, heat or no heat. It seems to have a plastic anchor holding it on in addition to the adheasive.
