How to remove the light covers and trim piece to access the wires for the map light and courtesy light (i tried pulling with no luck I dont want to break it) also there is a constant power supply in there correct(The one with the map light should have it)right?? thanks for the info Im just trying to hard wire the new radar detector up so...

if you are talking about the one above the rear view mirror then that is easy... it is held up by 4 tabs... i carefully put a flat head screwdriver inbetween the roof n the cover and loosened it up until i could take it down with my hands... same goes for the light in the back... pretty easy, i replaced my bulbs with blue Varad bulbs and i love it!!

wow blue light what a great idea

the ones from autozone or pepboys suck.. i bought some from there and they burned out within a few days and turned to a clear color, actually the ones from pepboys began smoking the minute i put them in and the color burned out immediately... i got mine from the store at www.cardomain.com... i bought the Varads, they arent really bulbs, they look more like computer chips... they are awesome!!

hey Ken, why do you have to remove the visors and grab handles to replace the bulbs? i didnt remove them...

So, that I could get my fat hands above the headliner to release the tabs on the dome light.

heres the pics of my blue dome lights... not really a good pic cause its hard to get a good pic of them... i replaced the 2 in the front dome light, the one in the rear, the 2 in the doors, the 2 underneath ur feet in the front, and the one in the glove box... got that nice blue glow... also heres some pics of my clear cornered angel eyes and my CAI tube with the KKM kit...

Lenny,

Your LS is looking good. Could you tell a difference in performance with the tube and KKM filter?

I did the same thing. They turn heads when you unlock your car at night.

Lenndawg, do the lights stay on a little bit when the car is running, or off and locked. Mine do, and I'm assuming it's because the bulbs are leds.

ya they do stay on a little bit... i read on the cardomain site that they dont need much power to be running so with the little bit of current still traveling thru when everything is off or the doors are shut, that is enough to power them a little bit... pretty cool tho, i love em!

Surf, did you get the Pro Varads or just the regulars? cause i got the regulars and have been deciding if i should upgrade to the Pros or not... not sure if the Pros will be too bright...

Because I broke a tab by pulling down without doing what Ken says. They are VERY tight! After that, I do exactly as he describes.

ya i guess your right, because the metal part on one of the tabs came off on me and flew up into the headliner and i sorta kept tapping on the bottom trying to bounce the tab over to the opening... 20 minutes later i had the metal piece back and put it back on the tab... haha maybe next time ill do as Ken says...
