Can someone please guide me through changing the front turn signal bulbs on an '03+? There obviously is no room behind the headlight assembly to simply pull the bulb, so I assume that the entire headlight assembly needs to be removed to make room. I don't need a step-by-step, but an idea of what needs to be removed to get at things, and where any hidden fasterners are, that type of thing. Since headlight and turn signal bulb replacement is a common mod, I will gladly create a new illustrated tech article based on this information.

I have also been condisering this mod. I dont like the way the orange ones look. What kind of bulb are you thinking of? I want some chrome type bulbs to put in there. I have also been thinking of putting them in the rear turn signals... but the front is more important since I may be tinting the tails anyway. Any info on this swap out would be great.

You'll have to removed the headlight to get to it. IIRC, the headlight is held on by three bolts. Just remove them and the headlight slides straight. The turn signal bulb just twists out. Should be a 20-30 minute job.

OK, I just found the headlight 'clearing' instructions by LS Koncepts originally posted by Ken (GrayGhost1) in the tech articls wanted thread. It answers my questions about removing the assembly. Apparently you need to remove the housing between the lights in front of the rad in order to get to the bolts holding the headlight assemblies in. That's what I needed to know. I didn't want to go randomly disassembling my new LS searching for the right bolts!

I am using Sylvania SilverStar Signal 3157 bulbs, which I found at a local shop. They are a silvery-blue color and light up amber (of course). They were not cheap, but I trust the Sylvania brand.

If anyone wants a deal on these SilverStar bulbs, the 3157s are on sale for nearly 75% off at Amazon. The 3457 cross-references to a 3157. They are not identical, but they are compatible I believe. Does anyone know the real difference? Brightness/wattage maybe?
